Why TAO Is the Best Club for Most Groups
Most Vegas clubs specialize: Hakkasan is EDM, JEWEL is hip hop, OMNIA is spectacle. TAO is everything at once. The DJ rotates between hip hop, top 40, and EDM throughout the night — which means a group of 8 people with different music tastes all ends up happy. That versatility is rare in a world-class venue and it's why TAO works for more groups than any other club on the Strip.
The Three Rooms
The Main Room
The main room is the core of the TAO experience. Elevated DJ booth, massive LED walls, the famous red lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The dancefloor is surrounded by booths on multiple tiers. On a Friday or Saturday at peak hour (midnight–2am), this room is genuinely electric.
The Garden
The outdoor covered garden terrace is the most underrated room in any Las Vegas nightclub. On a warm night — which is most nights from April through October — this is where you want to be. Open air, cooler temperature, slightly different music energy, and an intimate feel despite being part of a massive venue. If you've never been to TAO, plan to spend at least part of your night here.
The Asian Bistro Lounge
The upper lounge area adjacent to the restaurant. Less intense than the main room, good for conversations, cocktails, and taking a breath. Some table sections are in this area.
Best Nights at TAO
Thursday — The Best Night
Worship Thursday is TAO's signature weekly event and it's genuinely the best night to go. The crowd is a mix of locals, industry workers, and in-the-know visitors. Significantly less crowded than Friday or Saturday. The guestlist open bar perk (free first hour for ladies) is active on Thursdays. Same DJ quality, half the wait, better energy. If you can only go one night, go Thursday.
Friday
Strong night with a good DJ lineup. The venue isn't at full Saturday capacity, which means you can actually move around. The outdoor terrace is especially good on Fridays. This is my second recommendation for most groups.
Saturday
The biggest night and the most packed. Good experience but you'll feel the crowd. If you have a large group or a special occasion, Saturday tables make more sense than on Thursday or Friday. The energy peaks around 12:30–2am. The free open bar perk for guestlist ladies is active on Saturdays as well.
TAO Guestlist Rules
I put names directly into the TAO booking system. Here's exactly how it works:
- Ladies: Free entry, free open bar for the first hour on Thursday and Saturday guestlist
- Guys: Free entry for up to 4 guys per RSVP, no ratio required when you go through me
- Check-in: Download the TAO Rewards app, sign up with your email — your entry confirmation is in the ticket wallet as a QR code
- Arrival: Hit the guestlist check-in line at the entrance, not the box office line
- Cutoff: Arrive before 1am on standard nights. Major headliner nights may have earlier cutoffs — I'll tell you when you RSVP
TAO Table Service
Where to Sit
TAO has main room tables at rail level (best view of the DJ), upper tier tables (great view of the whole room), and garden terrace tables (best for groups who want outdoor experience). The garden terrace tables are the most unique — you're essentially at a premium outdoor lounge with bottle service.
Prices
Standard night minimums run $500–$1,500 depending on table location and group size. The rail tables facing the DJ are the premium spots and carry higher minimums. Add approximately 20–25% for tax, gratuity, and venue fees on top of the minimum. Holiday weekends are typically 2–3× standard.
What Tables Include
Priority entry through the host check-in (separate from the guestlist line, which is already faster than general admission). Dedicated table space for your group all night. A bottle package based on your minimum. Server and host attention throughout the night. Worth it for groups of 6+ on a special occasion.
